The City District Government would construct seven urban roads under the Link-Roads Development Project Programme with a cost of Rs 700 million. This was disclosed by DCO Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, after attending the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) meeting, here on Friday.

He said that under Faisalabad Links Roads Development Project, 7.80km long roads from Narwala Road to Chohla Pulli, Jhang Road, via Marzi Pura would be constructed/renovated with a cost of 273 million rupees while the construction/renovation of the 1.85km 66-feet Bazar of Mansoor Abad would entail the cost of Rs 130 million.

Similarly, 3.20km road from Maqbool Town Bridge to Narwala Road along with Paharing Drain Road will involve an expenditure of Rs 100 million. He said that the construction/renovation of 4km Samundri Road from Abdullah Pul to Risalewala Road via Sitara Colony will involve expenditure of Rs 100 million, while the remaining 1.50km road from Sarwala Distributary to Marzi Pura will be accomplished with Rs 45 million. DCO further told that a sum of Rs 13.5 million would be spent on construction/rehabilitation of Jaranwala Road up to Satiana Road and Dhudhi Wala while Rs 24 million will be spent on construction/renovation of 0.89km road from Treat Bakery (Canal Road) to Jhumra Road, upto Nigheban Pura Railway Crossing.
